Is this what we want? Since Obama called out Fox and Limbaugh as some sort of radical opposition, does that mean we would be better off if every news network was an MSNBC or every interview was a 60 minutes softball fest? Why do we even have a Washington press corps if it's somehow wrong to ask questions that are actually critical of the president's policies? I've never seen a president with skin this thin and a media so willing to roll over on anything and everything that has the possiblity of making him look bad. It's becoming like Iran, only the media is covering voluntarily.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Agree the so called Journalists don't do much real investigative reporting any more.
And the only Economist who gets in the news every week is that idiot Krugman, now he is calling for more debt, more stimulus, and government engineered 3-4% inflation. He says we should follow Japan.
If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2
Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

I agree, but they also want to tell us what THEY think we should know and not always what we SHOULD know.
To me, the most disturbing trend is the ease in which our poiticians can manipulate the media into telling the story the way they want it told (or not told). They may as well be gov't employees.

The media is run for profit, like all other businesses. It is cute that anyone thinks that this was not the case at some point in the past.
The media is considered to be part of the checks and balance system, but there are no checks and it has no balance.
Weak minded people follow the media as if it is honest. Think about it, if it were not for the media, we would not be making a big deal out of a few people dieing. But because of the media, we can be tricked into reacting like we have been attacked by another country.
Profit run media. Nothing more, nothing less. It has always been that way.
The difference used to be that media didn't consume our lives. We lived and experienced things for ourselves. Now we have 24/7 news filled with sensationalism; war, murder, child abductions, insane celebrities, and we feel that is how our world is.
