There have been some letters to the editors in the Post for the past couple weeks attacking Colorado Sheriffs for refusing to support gun bans, anti-2nd amendment legislations, claiming the sheriffs are only enforcing the laws they want to.
Sounds good in theory, but isn't law enforcement always making judgement calls like that? For example, I had a car broken into and the police came out to make a report, but I really doubt they are planning to initiate a county wide search for my CD's and the change out of my ashtray. Didn't Colorado just pass a law saying they wouldn't devote crime fighting resources to enforcing federal marijuana laws?
