Sandy Aid Bill: Colorado Senator Bennet is Upset

The 50 billion aid bill for Hurricane Sandy passed finally but only after the House stripped out aid for firefighting out west. Rep. Cory Gardner(R) was also critical of the decision. Pork is bad unless it is for your district?

Hard to say without more details on the spending. Is this one-time aid or a budget increase? Sooner or later we need spending cut offsets or higher taxes when asking for new money. I know it is not trendy in Government, but it actually needs to be paid for. It also could be a separate bill.

guess they should have asked for money to prevent race tracks from burning up, then maybe it would have gone through

Fred, apparently you are being critical of a republican. You need to study the TOS before you post again. :rofllol
