Amazon Users Pen Sarcastic Drone 'Reviews' For Children's Unmanned Aircraft Toy

The latest instance: a protest Amazon users are holding on the page of a children's unmanned aircraft toy. It's been inundated with users reviewing Obama administration's use of military drones abroad, pointed out by Buzzfeed's Andrew Kaczynski.

The toy shares the "Predator" name with an unmanned aerial vehicle that has become a favorite of the U.S. Air Force and CIA. The use of drones -- particularly in countries where the U.S. is not at war such as Yemen or Pakistan -- have come under intense scrutiny in recent years for causing child casualties, with studies showing drone strikes could potentially cause unprecedented blowback.

And the irony of making drones into children's toy (currently out of stock) is not lost on the Internet. Amazon user Maurice Cobbs gives a hypothetical:

The rest of the reviews are just as funny... Good thinking, guys...

Obama's blood free way of waging war, well, at least no American blood is being shed. Bravo to him. Keep US pilots and infantry safe.
Plus none of those pesky trials and skip the cost of locking them up in Gitmo.

Yes, he's exceeded Bush in illegal-immigrant deportations, and drone-assassinations... Dubious honor.

Even taking out American citizens and their children in Yemen. Although a Hellfire launched from a drone is 84K, a lot cheaper than a kidnapping mission via SEALS and a trial back home.

Agreed... Taking out a few Americans, a few "collateral damage" bystanders, .... Meh...

But what a great toy... Now if they can sell an accessory-kit that has something powerful enough to wipe out the neighbor's dog, what a great "teaching tool" for the kids... That can go on the list of "desired Christmas gifts", next to the AR-15s....

The Enola Gay was a toy too. Makes a Predator Drone look pretty wimpy.

Getting a little "out there" on your "mandatory LJ responses", aren't you Fred? I just love it when you have to dig back 70 years to find some kind of asinine equivalency...

OH, but let's take this one step FURTHER..........OUR gov. is presently using miniature drones (resembling bees, flying insects)
to monitor it's American citizens........surreptitiously gathering information.
