Chris Kyle, Author Of 'American Sniper,' Shot And Killed At Gun Range
Chris Kyle, an ex-Navy SEAL who wrote the bestelling book American Sniper about his service in Iraq, was shot and killed at a gun range in Texas, multiple outlets reported Saturday night. A second man was also killed.
According to local TV station KHOU, officials said that Kyle was shot at point-blank range "while helping another soldier who was recovering from post traumatic stress syndrome" at a range near the town of Glen Rose.
The Dallas Morning News reports that Lancaster, Texas, police arrested a suspect, 25-year-old Eddie Ray Routh, after a brief chase.
It doesn't say that the guy with PTSD that he was helping was the one who killed him...It says some other 25-yr-old guy killed him. So, I would think at a gun range there would be lots of guys with guns. If "the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a GOOD guy with a gun", then where was a "good guy with a gun" to stop it?
(Footnote: As of yesterday, there was a total 1,280 people killed with guns...SINCE the Newtown massacre... Comforting to know so many people have their "Second Amendment rights"...)
No, some are interested in only reporting that "they saw a report", with no sourcing. I'm not interested in that. I posted the reports from the main-stream NBC as well as HuffPo.
What?!?! You mean LATER INFORMATION shed more light on it?
You mean like at Sandy Hook, when the initial information in the first 15-minutes suggested it WASN'T an AR-15 that was used to kill those children, but "four handguns"?!?!?! (But within an hour was corrected by the Sheriff and local Law Enforcment...But which the ARA and gun-nuts are still trying to use to deflect away from the fact that it WAS an AR-15?)

You mean like THOSE kinds of people who "are only interested in 'searching for info that meets their needs'??????
I'm not going to go searching for "I saw a story" links from someone who apparently doesn't think enough of their sources to post them... You're not "helping ME out"...You're helping out poor Fred, who is apparently too damn lazy to post his own sources.

What does it say about my sources?...So far, it says their preliminary information was correct, as far as it went. The person with PTSD was apparently NOT the person that shot Mr. Kyle.
I'm not angry, and all I did was just prove that my sources were correct, so far as they had the information at the time...And I've proved that Fred is apparently too damn lazy to post his own sources... But he has you to cover his backside... (It's kind of cute, actually. Are you guys going to go pick out furniture next week?)
It takes a particularly ugly bigot to relish the murder of one of the Union's heroes simply because it might be beneficial to their political agenda. Lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut doesn't begin to describe the level you have stooped to here.
So Al Quaida must be very happy tonight. Prayers sent. Dallas Morning News Twitter Feed: the alleged shooter had to be tasered and is now on suicide watch.
