I posted this on my personal facebook page and after generating some great discussion, thought it would be good to share here and get your thoughts! It's from the Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort facebook page
and their caption was "Priorities!".
My caption read: "Priorities indeed, for it is through education and enlightenment that we will succeed and thrive as a species, not through perpetuating our violent, primitive instinctual urges."
And Go!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
Personally I find it funny that Stephen King is so hard core against violence when he writes works that are so full of it. Plus might inspire some of his readers to do deadly acts.
But back on books, I was once a big Kindle guy, but I want to start buying real books again. Can actually feel them in my hand instead of worrying about Amazon taking back my license for the book. And so much easier to share when bound.
I will still use the Kindle because it can be such a deal when you get a author's complete works for only a few dollars, but more books I actually want in my library.

Really isn't a matter of priorities. Good people with guns have kept freedom for many generations and throughout the world. Without these good guys with guns, you end up having your book grabbed from you, and burnt, if you happen to be reading something the bad people with guns don't want you to read.
Freedom isn't free. You will never rid society of people who want to take advantage of people if they can. Guns level that playing field.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
This would be cute, if they were not already banning and restricting access to books and ideas. They will have everything under control, books are far more dangerous than guns. We all know that. Books can tell you how all this control crap is BS, the guns only show you the opposite.
