Can't wait to see what's proposed! :sparklyheart:

Major Climate Change Bill Coming to the Senate
-two Senators announced they will introduce comprehensive climate change legislation this week, presenting a possible vehicle in the Senate for Obama’s ambitions.

Senators Bernie Sanders and Barbara Boxer will outline the legislation on Thursday morning. Details are scant, though it’s being billed as “major” and “comprehensive” legislation, and will have a carbon tax, per a statement from Sanders' office:

I have little doubt that it will be full of taxes and pointless regulations that will result in absolutely no impact on the environment. It will succeed as the EU ETS has in Europe. A nearly $100 BILLION dollar industry rife with fraud and deception which only lines the pockets of carbon brokers like Al Gore.

I'm still waiting for anyone to explain to me how this system will benefit anyone or anything other than criminals and brokers.

An "X" reduction of carbon emissions over "Y" period of time results in WHAT????? Interesting that NOBODY is asking this question.

The Cap and Trade shell game makes the Madoff scam look like childs play.

So?
Think the GOP House will pass it? And the way Senator Reid runs, it might not even be voted on. Don't want vulnerable Dem Senators running for re-election in 2014 to be seen supporting higher taxes and more regulation.

I knew the government could actually control the weather. I wish they'd ban snowflakes on roads - think of the money saved in snowplowing!

If our brilliant effective leaders are going to change the climate, I'd prefer sunny mild days on the weekends, shorter winters, and rain only during the work week. And less wind. If its not too much trouble. Thanks.

The costs will be passed on to the consumer as usual and will just be a regressive tax on those who can least afford it. This is just like gun control iin that it will sound great and make people feel all warm and fuzzy but will make little if any difference in changing the climate.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Yeah, I bet them weather machines are expensive to run. But it's for the general welfare, so it's ok.
