2nd year at UW Madison, I was part of a group of students that took over a building that was being used by the CIA for recruiting. I got my picture on the front page of the Milwaukee Sentinal holding a big sign. Mom was so proud. I'm sure the Feds got my name and number. That might be the reason that to this very day I am almost always pulled out of the line at the airport for 'special' treatment.
My prints are also on file from some Homeland Security documentation a few years ago for work related reasons.
Extended career in the Navy and now working in IT as a Defense Contractor, they probably know I'm going to wear to work tomorrow.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Grady wrote: Not that I am ready for it, but the other day I registered on the government’s Social Security Administration’s website. They no longer mail out the updates so if you want to check on what they have, you have to register. Once I got down to the multiple choice security, verification questions I was amazed how much the Feds already know about you.
For example: You opened a Sears account in what year? The answers included several years and a none of the above. Another question was to enter the last 8 digits of any credit card you may have. Another was who do you work for with several companies listed. Here none of the above was the correct answer.
The one that got me was did you buy XZY vehicle in 2010? Listing several vehicles. Yes we bought one of those vehicles, but we paid cash for the car. Why would the feds have that information?
I am surprised they didn’t ask to confirm what was my latest 285Bound or Facebook post.
:rofllol Sorry to laugh, but.........FYI - say you don't "recall" what year you purchased your first car or whether or not you ever had a credit card from so and so bank (gee, they've all been sold or merged with other banks so many times, there's no way in hades to remember if your card was EVER from so and so!). Well, if you don't remember the specifics, they lock you out and you have to wait 24 hours to try again. When you DO try again, better remember everything and more - btw, there are different questions the next time around!!!
