Hummmmm...an interesting topic.....clinically there are several definitions (diagnosis) but I assume interpretation by the general local population in the real topic. IMHO that is essentially determined by local expectations and in USA varies widely. In Iowa a high percentage of the population in San Francisco would be seen as crazy.......Iowans in reverse would be seen not at all in SF.....vanilla so to speak....point is the norms in any area defines the perceptions. Salem was real and Scarlet letters were passed out ........but that is East Coast history. IMHO $$$$ are not a factor.
