In order to stem the tide of increasing violence against children through child pornography by the use of a camera we feel that it is mandatory that we:
1. have universal background checks for all purchases of cameras
2. outlaw the evil looking digital camera
3. limit the size of a memory card to 5 MB
4. limit a roll of film to 5 frames
5. register all camera owners
6. establish product liability for owners and manufacturers of any camera used in the production of child pornography
7. 7 day waiting period for the purchase of a camera
8. outlaw tripods
9. outlaw zoom lenses
I endorse the opposite, dash cams for everyone, just like Russia. They say an armed society is a polite society, would you drive differently if you knew all the other cars were taking video of you?
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
I agree. And for the liberals, my point was that restricting cameras is the same as restricting guns. Gun restriction does not solve the problem of the crazy who kills, just as restricting cameras would not solve the problem of sexual perverts.
I'll dig up a link to the statistic and post when I find it, the FBI reported in late 2012 that there were more deaths resulted from the use of clubs, hammers, and other blunt object than assualt rifles. Given the choice I'd rather die from a couple large caliber rounds to center mass or the head than endure the punishment of being bludgeoned to death over several minutes.
Good to see you posting here again Arlen!
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
