Jesse Jackson Jr. & Wife Caught As Thieves

Appears they were stealing campaign donations to fund their extravagant lifestyle. They are negotiating plea deals to limit their jail time and fines.

There is some speculation that JJJ's treatment for bipolar disorder was just a ruse so that he would be get a lighter penalty.
(Denver Post this weekend.)

Yep... And I hear he's going to be pulling some serious jail-time for his transgressions...

Good. If he broke the law, he SHOULD. And his wife should to, if she broke the law.

(I'll be awaiting the same response from any on the Right who watch any of their members get convicted for illegal acts... )

Difference being, the MSM would be dancing with glee had this been a Republican.... but since it wasn't, there is barely a mention while Rubio's drink of water goes viral.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

"Convicted Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) is scheduled to receive $8,700 per month in government disability pay, as well as a partial federal pension of $45,000. That generous $8,700 in disability comes thanks to Jackson’s sudden development of a “mood disorder” as the federal government began looking to indict him. Jackson, who was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, had no history of mental illness during his prior 17 years in Congress. Rev. Jesse Jackson has defended his son’s claims of mental illness, stating to the court, “This time a year ago I thought we may have lost him.”

Anyone want to put odds on this story being turned into yet another race baiting attempt? It won't matter what JJJ and his wife did, "they are only being prosecuted and unfairly sentenced because of their ethnicity."

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I haven't seen any media reports like that....nor have I heard that theory put forth from anyone on the left....have you? He broke the law, he should pay the price.

We are in violent agreement archer, break the law and pay the penalty plain and simple.

HELLO. Otis, hello. Is anyone home. I believe as retired military either of us would loose our pensions if convicted of a felony.

Archer et al, before you spend any time looking for an r in prison collecting benefits payed by us, I think it would not matter.

Truth be told, he'll do half of the sentence and so will his wife. The only thing I find refreshing is that the system worked to a limited extent, even if it only half punished those who broke the law.

As for those who "lead" us as elected officials, they are coated in Teflon and rarely if ever capable of telling the truth much less admitting to wrong doing.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

When it comes to criminal behavior, I could not care less if it is an R or a D after their name. I am always amused that some of you think I do, or would, support criminal behavior by someone in office just because they are a liberal......I hope those of you that are conservatives feel the same about other conservatives who break the law.
