Just last week, Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu argued during a Capitol Hill hearing that the government needs more tax revenue.
But in a twist of hypocrisy, the Louisiana senator and her husband appear to have not yet paid $1,206.95 in tax penalties to the District of Columbia government on their Capitol Hill home.
Per www.electoral-vote.com, Senator Mary will have a hard time holding onto her seat in 2014.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Perhaps Mary is more interested in doing the best job for the country while she is in office than she is about whether or not she will be re-elected. How refreshing.

That line belongs in the Fun House :rofllol :rofllol :rofllol
If Mary doesn't do right by the people at home who elected her she won't be able to continue to do "the peoples work". She'll have to supplement her income by becoming a lobbyist.
Upon first glance the title seemed redundant to me; Democrat pushing for higher taxes. That's just a statement that describes how the Democrats operate, tax and spend.
But in a twist of hypocrisy, the Louisiana senator and her husband appear to have not yet paid $1,206.95 in tax penalties to the District of Columbia government on their Capitol Hill home.
[sarcasm]Democrats in office that don't pay their taxes? SHOCKING![/sarcasm]
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
OH, NO!! $1200... Really?!? "Have not paid yet?!?!?!" Well, there just is "no justice"....
:Snooze
Almost as shocking as a Republican pleading guilty to MILLIONS of illegally spent money for hookers, hotels, and private bank-accounts for senior Party operatives in Florida out of campaign slush funds... Who knew?!?!?
And yes, the government DOES need to close a bunch of fat-cat loopholes to bring in more revenue...
