Lanza: CT Shooter: Frontline Documentary

They espoused the theory that the shooter who killed all those innocents was inspired by the Norwegian shooter who killed dozens more.
There are a lot of theories about what is causing these mass shootings but I have to wonder if these bad guys are inspired by others and all the press coverage. I don't believe this is the only cause but for some kids like Lanza who has social and mental issues, the chance to go out in a blaze of glory and get all that press coverage has to be there. Or even worse, someone like Dorner who thinks he is a movie hero trying to right wrongs and getting hours of media coverage.

The solution, censoring the press or even having them self regulate, is not very palatable to me. Raised here on the 1st Amendment, it is hard to see any good in restricting it.

15 minutes of FAME syndrome.......EVERYONE (for the most part) is looking for an avenue to self-promote,be NOTICED,boost the ego. THIS method ensures a degree of visibility and notoriety that surpasses other avenues. JMO........(Of course, being mentally unbalanced only enhances the illusion.)
