China has been hacking into US companies. What can be done to punish the country and the military branch that does this? Some think adding tariffs to Chinese imports will just hurt our consumers and American businesses who use Chinese products in manufacturing. I like the idea of threatening China with the loss of most favored nation trading status if they are still doing this in a year. That should give time for America to develop other sources. This hacking is essentially a form of economic warfare. And it is scary to see them getting access to our utilities.

OR since China uses 46% of the coal in the world and has huge pollution issues, give tax subsidies to enviro hackers to shut down the coal power plants.

Depend on interconnected computers less as the long term weaknesses may outweigh the short term gains or alternatively put a mirror in front of the screen and bounce the death ray back at them.
