Hoping for a Weather Forecast Error...

Had the day off and decided I would prepare for the coming storm as if it was the monster we need to get snow pack levels back or close to normal.

Split a few extra logs and stacked more than enough wood for three days closer than normal to the Cave. Made the rounds to the stores, plenty of possibles on hand for the week. Gassed up my vehicles and got ten extra gallons just in case. Swapped out an empty Propane bottle and picked up a bag of Charcoal. Used up what was left of a can of Sno-seal on two pairs of work boots and moved my Sorels out of storage. Looked at some hardware porn in the form of generators but decided I can get by for several days without one (but I'm still thinking about buying one some day...) I'm bunkered in just in case I can't get out tomorrow or the next day (or the next couple of days...). I'll suffer through clearing the driveway by hand a couple of days in a row for the luxury of having some time off from work.

Blame me if we get three feet of snow, I'm ok with that!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

A little disappointed that we didn't get more snow than we did but at this point we need every bit of moisture we can get. I am finding some encouragement in the forecast as it seems we have fallen into a snow storm every weekend pattern, fingers crossed the storms keep coming well into mid-may!

Apparently, it's all thanks to a friend of mine. He was supposed to fly through Denver today on his way to DC for a meeting; the last time he was supposed to fly through Denver was our last storm that cancelled a bunch of flights.

I told him to schedule more flights through Denver.

But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

Sunny at my house I hope we get more snow.

I know many areas got more but we only ended up with 6 inches.
