Wasserman Schultz: My Aides Can't Afford Good Meals

22 Mar 2013 21:36 #1 by otisptoadwater

Wasserman Schultz's top aide earns around $160k a year. She pays two additional aides around $120k a year. She has five additional aides who earn between $60-100k a year.

At the carry-out cafe in the Cannon Office Building, where Wasserman Schultz has her office, you can get an 8oz bowl of Ham and Bean soup for $2. You can buy gourmet sandwiches and wraps for around $5.

Boo hoo!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Harry Reid has taught her well. Debbie: why don't you give them more money out of your own pocket? You have no issue increasing the minimum wage on private businesses do you?

So do you think Debbie actually said this or not?

Can't refute what is being reported with facts so attack the source. Get back to me when you have some evidence that what is being reported isn't what was said.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Automatic federal cuts are bringing staffers to the brink of starvation, suggested Debbie Wasserman Schultz, at a recent House Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee hearing.

Restaurants on the House side of Congress are increasing in cost so much that aides are being “priced out” of a good meal, she said, as Fox News reported. The comments came by way of a discussion about the impacts of the sequester on lawmakers’ office budgets. Rep. Jim Moran said he may be forced to lay off a staffer — and then Ms. Wasserman Schultz weighed in with her tale of hard times.

Schultz is one of the more amusing people in DC. I think she is a secret love child of Biden. Their mouths are very similar.
