I don't really care about the pope, but I do know that good leaders set good examples. But, I'm sure the religious bigots out there will find something to tarnish him with.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
I would be pleased for all of us who profess to follow Jesus Christ to choose to live below our means so we can better help those who are less fortunate. Most of us are not capable of a Christ-like rejection of material comforts yet, but there is no reason not to take a tiny step down that road at every opportunity.

Good point. And even if you're not a follower of Christ, chances are you are going to be forced into a much more modest lifestyle as our national debt continues to grow with no signs of slowing.
