Authorities do not believe there is any connection between this incident and recent high-profile slayings of public officials in Colorado and Texas, but all angles are being investigated, said Susan Medina, spokeswoman for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
"There appear to be no ties to recent shootings, but law enforcement will continue to investigate," Medina said.
