No, Hagel was a no nonsense, just plain good choice. It's a shame that some on the right are determined to hang their own out of hatred for Obama. Hagel is a good man.

He sounded like a senile old man to me when his colleagues in the Senate questioned him. Maybe he was like Obama at DU, running low on oxygen that day?

I think he was stunned at the level of hostility from those he considered his friends. I guess if lobbyists write big enough checks, honor and friendship flies out the window.
