Blah, blah, blah... Fast forward to 2:59 and listen to Diana DeGette explain about "...magazine clips..."
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Classic example of feel good politics. "We don't need to understand the details, guns are bad especially the scary looking ones that can shoot lots of bullets."

Well the good news is that with uneducated fools like DD making these stupid comments, she's doing more for gun rights than anyone else. Keep doin what yer doin brainstem!! :woo hoo: lol
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
And, sadly, her apologist, um, pardon the misspeak, her spokeswoman stated this (trying to cover Degette's rear):
"The congresswoman has been working on a high-capacity assault magazine ban for years and has been deeply involved in the issue; she simply misspoke in referring to 'magazines' when she should have referred to 'clips,' which cannot be reused because they don't have a feeding mechanism," Johnson said.
Actually, clips in most guns can be reused as well.
Another error she made which someone should address. By the time the killer who injured Giffords was stopped, he had already ejected the "high capacity" magazine and loaded a fresh magazine into the weapon. It was a malfunction associated with magazine #2, which was already inserted into the gun, which prolonged the absence of gunfire and allowed the killer to be subdued as he sought to insert yet another magazine into the weapon after the 2nd one malfunctioned. It was the 3rd magazine that was dropped, not the 2nd one.
"On the 45th anniversary of MLK's death today I think people should reflect that the assassinations of MLK and Kennedy were ordinary rifles." Hummmmm and Ceasar (Brutus helped) wad undone by numerous knives as reported.....and a little plutonium in a water supply will take hundreds of thousands, and meterorites (never forget those little devils) and 50000 a year die in autos..........bored. VERY BORED.
