As a matter of fact.....several students interviewed at the scene indicated their desire to carry a weapon on school premises to stop just this very thing.
Wellll, if "several students indicated their desire", then we should certainly pass a law to issue all of them weapons... THAT would surely make things safer...in a school environment.
I heard that several adults would like to put the weapons-toting students on a Thorazine drip... I think we should pass a law to keep Thorazine in every classroom.
Home.....you are falling for the sensational spin by the far left whackos.....As Senator Inhofe said recently this debate is NOT about NEWTOWN.....it is about the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution under the current SCOTUS will prevail.....lets get the silliness out of the CO laws ASAP and save CO a lot of costs defending the laws (laws the Sheriffs oppose and cannot enforce).......and then kick out the Governor and many CO legislators. Votye out those Sheriffs that support the infringment of the Second.
Inhofe is the most insensitive moron I think I've ever heard--next to Rand Paul, or Louie Gohmert. His comment is going to ensure his demise in the future.

Of course the recently passed gun laws easily pass constitutional muster under the 2nd Amendment as set forth by the current Supreme Court decision in DC v. Heller.

Is it still traumatic, and will some of them have long recoveries, you betcha, not trying to take away from any of that at all. Should this guy be held accountable for his attempt, absolutely. Why do you think that attempted murder sentences are less than murder sentences (on average, certainly there are exceptions, it's not absolute) - because attempting to do something and actually doing something are two wholly different levels.
No, I don't think the gun laws being proposed/recently passed are smart, but yes, I think we all need to accept that better enforcement, better laws, and better mental health care needs to be instituted - for anyone who is at risk to try something like this.
The BOLDED STATEMENT.....is what 20 YOUNG vibrant souls are hoping will happen.....so that THEIR deaths were NOT in vain.....the
paradigm is required to CHANGE......JMO

There is where the problem really is.
When was the last time there was a mass killing by a sane person? I can think of a few but they used fertilizer or box cutters and were far more deadly.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
