14 Students knifed - wait for bans on semi-automatic knives

A student has been taken into custody after a mass stabbing left 14 people wounded at the CyFair campus of Lone Star College near Houston on Tuesday morning, police say.

At a news conference Tuesday afternoon, they described the suspect in custody as a male student who was about 21 years old, and they said he was believed to be the only person responsible for the stabbings.

Earlier in the afternoon, officials with the Harris County Sheriff's Department said someone attacked several students in multiple buildings as they walked to class. Police believe that initial reports of two attackers stemmed from the attacks taking place in multiple locations but that only one person was responsible for the stabbings.

"At this point ... we have one suspect in custody. As far as we know he is the only suspect at this point," said Thomas Gilliland, with the Harris County Sheriff's Department. "It was the same suspect going from building to building."

No, I'll just wait for the Senate to bring up the gun-control legislation for actual debate. Reid has the votes to block the filibuster by the cowards that won't even discuss it with the press.

Does Harry Reid really want the vulnerable Dem senators in Red States like Mary Landrieu to be voting for "common sense" gun control that will lose the Dem Senate majority?
Or does Sen. Reid want to put up a anti-gun bill for Barack that will lose in the Senate?

I can hardly wait for the GOP to have to stand up and defend their position on something as simple as universal background-checks to the 92% of the voters who are FOR it...including NRA members, Second Amendment supporters, Republicans and Democrats.

I can hardly wait. Oh, they may vote against it...But they're going to have to go on-record and explain WHY to the 92%.

To kill the spin....there are two possible cloture votes and opportunity to gut the silliness via amendments......THEN the HOUSE has to formulate a bill and IF it passs the two have to be reconciled.......LONG way to go. Write the CO congresspeople and fight for freedom and liberty.

BTW....I note the taxpayers flew the NEWTOWN parents via AF1 to WDC........hope the NRA is paying for counter PR big time.

But there is a big difference between an individual state passing background checks and the Boys of the Beltway deciding on what is legal and not.
