Per Drudge, The President will be attending the West, Texas Memorial. I am happy to see that.

It's the next day after the Texas explosion for heavens sake......Obama went to Boston for the Memorial service....I seriously doubt they are having one for the Texas victims any day real soon. But I shouldn't be surprised that some would use a tragedy to bash Obama......it's what you do, day after day.

I remarked to a friend earlier today that the media was scrambling to cover both tragedies, but thought they were balancing their coverage as best they could......There is more "breaking" news events coming out of Boston, while in Texas, the fire is out, and the coverage there is concentrated on finding any remaining survivors.

But post what you want, most people here are concerned about those affected by both of these tragedies, and not yet trying to see if there is a way to politicize them.

Since approximately 60 people are still "missing" (and presumed vaporized by the explosion), I don't think they've figured out who all to have a memorial service for...yet. But I'm sure if there is a way to beat up Obama over it...(and the rampant explosion of hangnails in the Tea Party), they will do it.

I heard that the 60 missing number has gone way down. People were still checking in. The before and after footage is horrible to see. Even the roadbed of the train tracks has been destroyed.

Obama To Attend Memorial For Texas Explosion Victims
Obama To Travel To West, Texas For Fertilizer Plant Explosion Memorial

WASHINGTON -- The White House says President Barack Obama will attend a memorial service for victims of the fertilizer plant explosion in the town of West, Texas.

The service is scheduled for Thursday at Baylor University.

Last week's blast left 14 people dead and injured 200 others. The explosion was largely overshadowed by the Boston Marathon bombing.

Federal and state investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire that set off the explosion. Authorities say there are no signs of criminal intent.

I guess they found enough pieces to memorialize after all...

Back on topic. Never let a crisis go to waste? Since Obama was already going to be Texas for the Dubya Presidential Library opening and a Dem fundraiser, might as well swing down to Baylor for the memorial.

So you are now opposed to the President going to the memorial? When just a few posts back, you were condemning the president for not going?
