Boston Bombers ID'ed - Not White Tea Party members

Police scanner feed indicates that they are trying to slowly talk someone "out." Can't tell if it's the younger brother or a person of interest, but it seems like a number of the police and support personnel have been at a single location for a number of hours.

I don't think (only opinion) there is a terror cell. The older brother became radicalized over the internet... numerous links and videos from his social media pages points to that... the older brother is named after a great Muslim warrior Timur ("It is alleged that Timur's tomb was inscribed with the words, "When I rise from the dead, the world shall tremble."" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timur ) the explosive devices were low tech... a terror cell would have funded them better ... the older brother was a follower (on the internet) of a radical Australian iman... the list goes on... no... I don't think there is a terror cell... but the motivation is the same as if they were trained by Al Qaeda themselves.

I have no opinion on whether it was a cell or not. I keep hearing the bomb described as low tech, primitive etc. Mostly,IMO, folks with an agenda.

If a terrorist wants to inflict terror, I think maiming ~150 people at the finish line of the Boston Marathon with multiple amputations is as terror ific as it gets. Not to mention shutting the city down.

If I were an analyst evaluating this, I would not be grading on a scale based on fatalities.

As far as they can tell, the sweep in Watertown did not produce any suspect

The were pipe bombs (exploded and not exploded) at last nights chase and shootout and one pressure cooker bomb which was set off at the scene of the shootout.

There are a number of public events in Watertown tomorrow (Sat. 4-20-2013) and those events will not be canceled, but there will be a large police presence.

"Shelter at home" will be lifted soon in Boston and surrounding areas.

The claim they have leads... won't discuss them at this time.

I really thought they had him cornered. Irony? The suspect got his American citizenship on 9/11/2011.

Sounds like gunshots fired. News is saying a suspect is down in Watertown.

Opening up the town would indicate they have found the guy and the massive firefight.
