With Max Bachus from Montana announcing yesterday, it looks like the GOP has a chance to take back the Senate in 2014.
Montana, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alaska, and North Carolina are all expected to elect Republican senators to replace the Dems. Republican Senators? A couple are retiring in red states, but thier replacements won't have any trouble getting elected.
Unless the GOP blows it again like they did in 2012.

No worries, the GOP will blow it. Wasn't last year the year that the Reps were going to retake the Senate, since there were more Dems at risk, the bad economy, Obama, etc. Yet the Dems not only held their own, they gained even more seats in the Senate.

Max Baucus has figured out it's time to leave, and is not running again, and the presumed replacement is already ahead of the presumed challenger in the polls.
Heitkamp will probably be primaried
Mark Pryor will probably be primaried
Mark Begich... Haven't heard yet, but will probably be primaried...
And then we have the REAL "winners" in seats that should have been slam-dunks for the GOTP:
Colbert-Bush has 9-10 point lead over Sanford for the congressional district.
Bachmann may be under indictment by election time for federal campaign violations, but is already behind in the polls...
...and the list continues...
And I hope they keep consulting the polls by Rasmussen, FauxNews, Karl Rove, Dick Morris, Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge, and George Will, etc..... The polls will tell them exactly what they want to hear--all the way up to the point where the races are called for the actual winners.

A lot of good that did them... you noticed that little thing about gun legislation failing... because the Dems blew it?
A majority of the American public through their senators supported gun control legislation. Unfortunetly a minority was able to thwart the will of the American public by abuse of the filibuster to prevent gun control legislation from even coming to the floor for debate and voting. Hopefully Reid will take steps to prevent this continued abuse from continuing.

Not a senate race but the NRCC has pulled funding from the Sanford campaign.

So those turncoat (D) Senators were more beholden to the NRA than the DNC? :splat:
