I was watching the openning of the Bush Library on MSNBC (yes I watch MSNBC for the nutjob perspective)... anyway, Chris Mathews was talking about Bush almost admiringly at one point but suggested that the evil people around him (Rove, Cheney, Bolton) sort of tainted the good guy. I guess he had to find a way to agree with the nice things Obama said about him.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
