Steve King Announces He Will Not Run For Senate

Steve King just announced he will not run for the U.S. Senate. The Tea Party Republican Congressman from Iowa had been deliberating but made the announcement minutes ago via Twitter:

I will not run for Senate in 2014. A Senate race takes me out of urgent battles in Congress that can’t wait until 2015. Many thanks to all.

Darn... I was looking forward to that as a DOUBLE "gimme"... It would have been a guaranteed Dem Senate seat; and, he would have had to give up his House seat to run for it...So, we would have been rid of him for good... I guess someone from the ruling-party must have gotten to him.

But, he'll still be at the top of the Top-10 list for removal, along with Michele Bachmann and a few others....

It would be more fun to see the author Stephen King run for Senator of Maine. "If we don't pass Obamacare, it will be a nightmare, and believe me I know how to create nightmares."

Which reminds me that the party of that "laser-like focus on jobs" (that apparently only does things like renaming post offices, and passing things on abortion, and anti-gay/anti-women measures), is going to go for a 37th (or is it 38th?) attempt at repealing ObamaCare... Yep...38th time is the charm....NOT .. Bwahahahaha....

But hey, it's been 6 weeks, I guess it's time to give it another go.

Even Senate Democrats like Max Bachus are saying this Obamacare is a nightmare as written, so maybe it does need to be repealed or do we really want a country where people only work 20 hours a week?

Yes, I'm about as swayed by Max Bachus as I am by Ted Cruz.

It appears Mr. King made some toxic rape/pregnancy comments so thinks he couldn't win.
More embarrasing for the Iowa Republican party, they can't find a serious statewide candidate for the office. This is a very bad sign when Iowa, America's Heartland, moves to blue state status.
