Bury Bomber #1 In Cambridge?

NPR was debating tonight that it would be the Christian thing to do. Turn the other check forgive the man and move on. While this does sound very noble is it fair to the cemetary to bury him and face vandalism and possible enshrinement by sympathetic Islamists. The mother wants to take the body back to Russia but does Putin want that?

NPR is concerned about doing the "Christian thing"? Somehow I doubt that.

They should give him a Bin Laden burial and make it a part of "Shark Week".

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

The guy is dead, and I personally don't care where he is buried. I wouldn't mind a funeral service either. I think I'd only be offended if there was a celebration of the bombing during the funeral.

But I understand those in Boston may think differently.

I guess we need to wait and see if Russia or some other country will accept the body. Again, I'd have no problem with that either, unless people were celebrating him in the streets. But at least that wouldn't be in this country...

I do like the Bin Laden idea, a burial at sea. No one can make a shrine to him.

One of the 7 Corporal Works of Mercy is to bury the dead. It is not only the Christian thing to do, it is an obligation to do it, from the Catholic perspective anyway. I will be contacting the office of His Eminence, Sean Cardinal O'Malley, Archbishop of Boston, and attempting to remind His Eminence of his obligations, and I would encourage all of you, Catholic or not, to do the same. I am certain that in Boston of all places that there is a cemetary run by the Archdiocese of Boston. Denver has 2 of them, so I cannot imagine that Boston doesn't even have one.

The form that I have used is the proper one to use when writing to a Cardinal. It is a sign of respect, much as addressing the president of our Union as Mr. President when writing to him is a sign of respect. If you elect to contact Cardinal O'Malley, I would ask that you observe this courtesy.

WTF is wrong with a nice hot cremation? If not that, he needs to be put on a plane and let the parents do whatever with him... he's no longer our problem.

Pine box, unmarked grave, undisclosed location. At this point he's just a bunch of minerals in a very messy package.

Probably not.

"It has recently been reported that the Colorado Muslim Society has offered to provide burial services for Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the individuals who perpetrated the grave and destructive bombings at the 2013 Boston Marathon. This report is absolutely untrue," the society's board of directors said in a statement issued late Monday. "The individual who has reportedly made this offer does not speak on behalf of the Colorado Muslim Society."
