Gov. Christie Has Weight Reduction Surgery

Looks like he is interested in running for President in 2016. Think he has a chance against Hilary? And if he does lose the weight, will people be more likely to vote for him? Or does the angry fat man endear him to voters?

Personally he is much too liberal for me, but I would still support him in the general election.

And while I am not a string bean, seeing a man with an out of control addiction like his is sad.

I cannot support a man for President who would wantonly murder a spider.

lol

I'm guessing his wife and kids will be thrilled to see him lose weight and greatly extend his life. He's is a bit liberal at times but if the alternative is Hillary, it's a no brainer.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Good for him, whatever convinced him to take charge of his weight problem is not as important as the fact that he did it. I rather like the guy, I don't always agree with his politics, but he is genuinely an independent thinker and puts the needs of his state /constituents over his political needs.

PETA has apparently noted the incident.......
(per NPR --- I haven't checked that, though)

Wish he had done it on his own instead of such drastic, dangerous measures, but I wish him good luck with his weight loss goals.

He is doing it "on his own".....even dieting has risks. He went out and found what he thought would give him the best chance of success......

And the REASON I would VOTE for him if he elects to run.....(of course, MANY things can happen between now and that timeframe,BUT
as of this moment....my vote would be cast for Christie.

I honestly do NOT think that Hillary will run....because IF grandchildren are present (next voting cycle)...I believe she will settle into
"grandmother" role and gratefully retire from the arena...NOW, Chelsey is ANOTHER topic...)the NEXT generation of Clinton's will emerge
into existence...JMO

I strongly disagree... grandchildren will always be there but a chance to be the first woman president won't. This woman stayed with a serial cheater for the same reason imo, there's no way she'll let her sacrifices go to waste. If she doesn't run, I will never post on this board again, quote it and take that to the bank

BUT, if she is proven to be inept as far as Benghazi, all bets are off.

For Hilary being the first woman president is much more important than any grandkids
