Is the end of conservative talk radio nigh?

I am curious as to just how many conservatives on this forum actually listen to Rush?

I don't... unless I'm in the car going somewhere in the afternoon... more like "white" noise (is that racist?)

I may listen to him after some big political event then will listen to one of the MSNBC morons like Madcow to get the full spectrum.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I can only take about 30 minutes of Rush a day but I also listen to Hugh Hewitt for more intelligent discussion with authors and Washington insiders. I doubt KOA is planning to drop Rush any time soon and Mike Rosen is a more intelligent alternative.

The top talk radio shows per Talker's Magazine, May 2013

http://www.talkers.com/top-talk-radio-audiences/

As I recall, Limbaugh used to have over 20 million weekly listeners, but that's going back many years and may have been before all the copycats started showing up. Hannity + Limbaugh is still 27+ million.

For the top radio shows, Wiki has a list which includes the numbers above and adds NPR and APM data. I don't know how to display it, but here's the link...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-listened-to_radio_programs

I doubt the list is complete since it doesn't consider top commercial news, music, or sports shows.

I'm bummed not to see Jason Lewis on that list. I would have thought that his audience was sufficient enough for him to make it. And truth be told, I'd rather listen to his show than the show of anyone else on that list.

I think I listened twice. I didn't find him as entertaining as music - or even wind noise - so I haven't listened to him since.

So the highest liberals are Ed Shultz & Alan Colmes at 2.75million. Pretty impressive.
