Dog,
You support the White House wire-tapping the press? Didn't know you were so Nixonian.

Joke: How did Obama find out about the IRS abuses? Listening to the wiretaps of the AP reporters!

Who wire-tapped the press? Why do you lie about what happened? The Justice Department issued a lawful subpoena to telephone companies for the records of certain individuals who were seriously suspected of compromising secret CIA missions and putting American citizens at risk of death. No one "wire-tapped" anyone, no conversations were listened to, only written records of the numbers to and from certain suspects.

Try to keep your lies to a minimum.

So you do support the Feds knowing the AP sources? And knowing who the calls were to is wiretapping. Especially when these are confidential sources. But please keep covering up for your corrupt administration.

Only in the bizzaro world of right wing nuts is the act of surreptitiously listening in to phone conversations the same as obtaining phone records. So you are ok with allowing the lives of Americans to be placed in danger by terrorists obtaining classified information illegally?

You really believe the administration that the AP reporters were talking with known terrorists? Instead of trying to stop a leak in the administration? Fool me once shame on you...more gullible. BHO is not an idealist. He is the product of the Chicago machine. Wake up my sleepy puppy.

Are you really trying to support those who unlawfully leak classified information that leads to the death and endangerment of American citizens, that aids and abet terrorist actions against Americ, those who the Justice Department were trying to identify through lawful means?

The Supreme Court has ruled since the 1970's that information recorded by third parties, such as wireless phone carrier records, are not protected by the 4th Amendment or any other Constitutional right. In fact, it is fairly routine for LE to obtain phone records in investigations. However, wire taps do require a court order.

Last year, a congressional investigation found that there were 1.3 million requests for customer data from wireless phone carriers. Sprint has 266 full time employees working on those requests. So don't pretend that this is some unique instant by the Justice Department in trying to stop the leaks of classified information that compromised a CIA operation in Yemen and endangered the lives of American citizens and aided and abetted terrorist activities.

Did you support the leak of the Pentagon Papers? Daniel Ellsberg was a Lefty hero.

:smackshead: And now it comes out that the DOJ was bugging Congress too. Oh, what a Nixonian web we weave.... :faint:

Since I was in elementary school at the time of the Pentagon papers, I really did not voice any opinion on them at that time.

So you do believe the Justice Department was justified in its witchhunt of both the AP and Congress? And that their goals were ethical and morally right?

I am unaware of Justice department investigation of Congressional members, and since you refuse to provide a link, I believe that it is yet another untrue rumor.
