Kermit Gosnel: guilty

I believe that abortion - stops a beating heart, and morally - I consider it murder.

As far as I'm concerned, Kermit Gosnel murdered babies, as well as the young lady that died from an anesthesia overdose.

I do not support the death penalty in this instance, and I feel it would be just fine if his license to practice medicine was revoked, and his face was placed on a poster for all to see.

One thing that disgusted me was the defense argument, "none of the infants was killed; rather, he said, they were already dead as a result of Gosnell administering the drug Digoxin, which can cause abortion." (from CNN) ---- well gee --- they had to be killed before he killed them.........

In any event - glad it's over.

Maybe the courts will try to overturn Pennsylvania's late term abortion ban (I hope not) - but his manslaughter charge should stay intact.

Fine by me.

My hope is that these late term abortion mills get as much scrutiny and as many inspections as a greasy spoon restaurant. I keep hearing that this was just one bad abortionist... how do they know this?

Well - let's assume that claim is correct
what would a "good abortionist" be like?
(I don't believe in them)

I hope abortion clinics get much more scrutiny after this. The FDA audits our medical manufacturing once a year and our products don't have contact with patients so it only makes sense to audit abortion clinics at least as often.

I agree, there are no good ones but there is this law that allows them. What gets me is that this guy was convicted of murder because he killed the babies outside the womb... but if he succeeded in killng them in the womb, it's just another day on the job, no foul, no crime.

Isn't it nice that our selective morality can help us all to sleep at night?

I can see your points, but I think staying within the legal abortion time limit is a reasonable compromise. I did see one Lefty defending these very late term abortions (infanticides) saying that the poor patients of Gosnell can't get the $300 together in time. (Shouldn't PP help with that?)

Or maybe the thousands of people who would love to adopt one of these babies instead of chopping them up?

You just wait. It will only be a matter of hours before those who support the destruction of human life are defending their position by stating that this is exactly what all abortion clinics are going to be like when we find our moral compass again and stop the intentional and wanton destruction of a million plus innocent human lives in our Union alone on an annual basis. Hide and watch - let's see who is the first "progressive" to defend the practice along these lines.

Have you seen anyone here post something to defend this doctor's (small d) actions?
