Mitt Romney: possible savior of the Motor City?

The suggestion isn’t as far fetched as its sounds as Romney, the Republican presidential candidate who was unsuccessful against Barack Obama in November, was born and raised in Detroit (so too his beloved wife, Ann).

Detroit is in major league financial duress and Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder is expected to appoint someone as emergency financial manager in coming days to oversee its turnaround.

I actually think Mitt has the ego that he would try it. But he would need to have the power to totally change things. Renegotiate laborious contracts. Being able to offer 10 year property tax exemptions for new businesses and homeowners.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.

Detroit was doomed 50 years ago when it (both unions and management) REJECTED quality. Demming tried to help but was rejected
he went to Japan(they build statues to Professor Demming)
the Japs shredded the USA auto makers. ALL Done.....get over it.....and we will never again pay, with benefits $$300,000/year for some low skilled dope to put grease on a bolt.

Romney IS a Detroit car manager.......what you crazy ??.

BULLDOZE DETROIT.........may make a good dump for Kentucky.
