But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

Says the theatre guy. tongue: Do people not go in black tie where you do your shows? I love dressing up and going out (although Brooks is hardly one of those places).

Audiences for legit theatre has become lax in the "dressing to the nines" evening. Most (not all) theatre goers dress much more casual nowadays.

Very true, and kinda sad. I still enjoy dressing up for the theatre, but have found that most do not....my daughter and I used to spend a lot of time at the Denver Theatre Center where she was an usher in high school......she, as a teenager, insisted that a night out at the theatre demanded being well dressed.....she still thinks that way Audiences in Phoenix seem more likely to be well dressed than here in Denver, especially at the Ballet (Phoenix has a very respectable ballet company).
It's the way things are now......plane travel used to be a dress up event when I was a kid......so was taking the bus into the city for a day of shopping and lunch at the major department store....
