High as a kite, and voicing suicidal intentions. Since none of us were there, I don't think it'd be fair to grap the pitchforks and torches to go after the LEOs just yet.

Suicide by cop? I do agree we need more info.

They used NON-LETHAL FORCE, i.e., a Taser... That was hardly "suicide-by-cop"...They had no way of knowing that he would die from a Taser-shot.

Wandering around talking incoherently about suicide; refusing to put down his weapon, (even if it was a BB-gun)... Sure doesn't sound like overuse of Police force to me.

Yep... More info would help...

I am not saying the police did anything wrong, but I do wonder if the guy did want to die but couldn't do it himself.

If he wanted to die he would have acted drugged stoopid in Denver where they are very quick to use their guns instead of tasers.

Weird. I searched for Taser fatality studies because I'm curious about how often it's fatal when deployed. Amnesty International says it's incredibly dangerous, but their data includes (for example) a man that was tased and died in custody 5 days later.

I though there would be more information about how often the jolt is fatal.

I guess it all depends on whether or not the coroner lists the jolt as a cause or just includes the drug use or preexisting heart condition as the only cause.

How do we know - facts - he was suicidal.....witnesses, Sheriff report.....where did this come from ?? Difficult to imagine 2-4 deputies could not subdue one 55 YO man.....did they call SWAT Team.....lot to know. BB Gun.....what ??

In Co you can openly carry a real gun and carry concealed on your own property including your business.....what is going on here.......?? CH 7 is a good investigative service
lets see where this goes.

????? Lots of questions.

Hey.....nobody.....where did you get your info......drugs, suicidal......man is DEAD by local police and unarmed........you brought this up.......do you have non- cop input ?? They killed him....so their info must be questioned. Is Mink directly involved in the issue ? IS DA directly involved ?? We got a BIG problem here. IF we do not get a lot more the problem is really BIG.
IF the CH 7 initial info is accurate WE HAVE A UNARMED MAN ON HIS OWN PROPERTY KILLED BY DEPUTIE(S)......THAT IS A START.

1) No they didn't "kill" him; they hit him with NON-LETHAL force, and he died.

2) He wasn't "unarmed"... He had a weapon (that was determined to be a BB-gun) that he refused to put down when ordered to do so by Police...

The problem is no more "BIG" than another that involves unintentional death...Unless, of course, you are of an extremist/conspiracy mindset. Carry on with your FACT-FREE, ECHO-CHAMBER rant...
