Senator John Morse: First Successful Colorado Recall

16000 signatures double the amount needed will likely lead to the first recall election in Colorado history. I guess it is like Bill Clinton said. You don't want to mess with the 2nd Amendment.

So, the subject line is actually a lie... He is not "the first successful recall", (since the election has not been held yet)...He's the first one that has gathered enough signatures (allegedly) to go on the ballot.

Got it...

Correction: first Colorado legislator to be subject to recall. A perfect way to go down in infamy. Like Nixon Johnson and Clinton.

....“Duke” Cunningham, Bob Ney, Tom DeLay, Mark Foley, Scooter Libbey, .... You really want to go there?

They don't matter twat... what does matter is Morse, Colorado, gun rights and the fact that this guy could get recalled. Those are the facts that matter... not your "we did it, they did it" schoolgirl tantrums.

Morse hoping Bloomberg sends cash.

Senate President John Morse isn’t hiding his budding bromance with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg anymore. In an article by Lynn Bartels of The Denver Post, Morse openly declares his fervent hope that Bloomberg rides to the rescue with some more cold hard cash for his recall defense campaign.

He’ll need it after recall organizers turned in over 16,000 signatures, compared to the only 13,866 votes Morse received in his last election in 2010.

Any Bloomberg bucks would be in addition to the at least $20,000 Morse’s recall defense campaign has already taken from Bloomberg-backed America Vote

I hope they send him some. Looks like it's time to send another donation to Mayors-Against-Guns, and/or http://www.everyoneformorse.com.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO BLOOMBERG: More Connections To NYC Mayor’s Cash Emerge In Morse Group Financial Report
No matter where you look when it comes to the pro-Morse group A Whole Lot of People For John Morse, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg isn’t far.

Reviewing the financials of the recall candidates – specifically Colorado Springs Senator John Morse and Pueblo Senator Angela Giron – yesterday, a pattern emerged. Each anti-recall effort received huge cash infusions from three groups: Sixteen Thirty Fund, Citizens for Integrity, and Mainstream Colorado. It’s particularly worth noting that none of these groups are based in either Colorado Springs nor Pueblo.

But, who are these groups?

The Sixteen Thirty Fund is a 501c3 (a public charity) based in Washington, D.C, where it’s filed as an environmental organization. What exactly does the environment havet to do with defending a State Senator against recall? Not much. But what is interesting is a link to Bloomberg and his group Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Good! ... Considering the cash that comes in from outside Colorado, (on SEVERAL issues and campaigns), I'm delighted to see it.

I thought you guys were all about "Money = Free Speech"..? Whassamatter?....Getting hoisted on your own petard? Let's see that "free speech money = gun-control legislation" keep rolling in.

Oh, and now there's a new site, funded by a wealthy venture-capitalist, http://www.StopTheNRA.com. (You guys LOVE vulture-capitalists too, right?...Unless they happen to be liberal?)

A liberal 501c3? I wonder if they were asked who their donors were and their personal tax returns were checked.
