Since religion (including Christianity) is based on make-believe... it's no wonder that they (and all religions) are so capable of using a faulted ideology to support their actions. If you are expect support from this conservative on Christianity... won't happen. But at the same time I really see these people as misguided and stupid... no different than any other misguided and stupid person who don't purport and religious motive for their idiotic actions.

Nonetheless, anything other than Christ is un-christian ---- and the modern day church has brought plenty of baggage on-board the flight to insanity.
The anecdotes help prove that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of G-d"
The bible is no stranger to troubles --- just read about King David - who committed adultery and then covered it up with murder. Read about the "holy" man named Saul who made a hobby out of killing early Christians (wonder how the church felt when he showed up on their doorstep). Still - for reasons that I simply don't understand, these crooks became some of the Bible's model citizens.
