Only the paranoid knew this before Snowden spoke? No, only the informed knew this. Only the uninformed citizen did not know this and were blissfully ignorant.
The BOLDED was the DEFINING moment.....been occurring LONG before that time,just covertly. The events of 9/11 altered our
reality,world,understanding,acceptance,tolerance (you pick the phrase) BUT the reality was ALWAYS there,we just elected to
NOT acknowledge it....(the rest of the world KNEW in spades....there is NO security)......we elected to relinquish what LITTLE
personal privacy we had....there is NO one else to blame.....just OURSELVES. JMO
