Think it is disgraceful for Wenner's music magazine to make a terrorist into a dreamy rock star? I think they are only doing it to get attention. Think it is a good idea for chain stores to refuse to stock the magazine? Personally I think the stores should still offer RS for sale. Free speech right? But no one says people have to buy it.

Reactionaries will. RS did not ask for him to pose for the cover. This same picture appeared in many magazines and news shows. RS has a glossy cover, does that make it more offensive? You can't judge a book (or in this case a magazine) by it's cover can you? Read the article and decide for yourself. Covers are supposedto draw your attention. Obviously store owner can display this issue (or not) in any way they choose.
If you ask me, this self photograh makes him look like your average slacker teenager in Anytown USA. And that should really make you think.
