It depends on what you think "typical" means

"The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity," Obama said on WIP. "She doesn't. But she is a typical white person who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, there's a reaction that's been bred into our experiences that don't go away, and that sometimes comes out in the wrong way, and that's just the nature of race in our society. We have to break through it."

Barack Obama

I thought about this the other day when I listened to his race speech... and I wondered how he knew what the typical white person was thinking... oh yeah, he's half white so I guess he would know what the typical whitey thinks. I guess this is what bothers me the most... when a person presumes to know what is in the mind and heart or another person, or many millions of people. I really hoped he could bring us together with his mad community organizing skills. Maybe it's just the way I interpreted his speech, but I don't think he's evolved on this one... not even close.

Oh, and here's an oldie but goody from Huffpo:

Can you imagine if Hillary Clinton said someone was a "typical black person?"

Seriously, Barack Obama basically called all white people racist. You know, because when us typical white folk walk down the street and see an African American coming our way we run to the other side of the road.

It's becoming more apparent why Senator Obama didn't leave Rev. Wright's church, as well as continued his relationship with him. The truth is that racism works both ways and some of us blue collar folks don't appreciate being called racist by someone who has his own problems with race he is obviously in denial about.

It SHOULD BE apparent to everyone here that racism is STILL alive and well after all these
decades of "progress".......change comes painstakingly slow.

Racism will never end... we will never live in a perfect utopia because people are naturally flawed. It just bothers me when people intentionally use race to push their own agendas, thereby creating even more division. Race merchants can kiss my ass no matter how important they think they are.

Racism will never end, even half blacks "high yellars" look down upon full blacks.
