What you are essentially attempting here is what the anti-Catholic bigots attempt when they seek to portray all Catholics as supportive of priests who assault children and the religion of mysogyny. It doesn't work that way and you know it. Stop acting like a bigot otis, bigots are ugly people regardless of their politics. For crying out loud, you're starting to remind me of LJ.

First, the covering up for years part. You've probably seen this already, but the national media apparently hasn't.

The local Democratic Party has known for a long time about sexual harassment allegations against Bob Filner, a former Democratic assemblywoman said in a Thursday interview.
“I blew the whistle on this two years ago to the Democratic Party leadership,” former Assemblywoman Lori Saldaña said.

Saldaña said that in summer 2011 six prominent women in local politics, business and education told her that Filner had physically or verbally harassed them. Saldaña had been exploring what turned out to be an unsuccessful bid for Congress and the conversations came in the context of the 2012 elections.

Saldaña said she contacted former party Chairman Jess Durfee with the allegations and Durfee was among a group of Democratic leaders who met with Filner to discuss them that summer. She said nothing happened.

“As disgraceful as Bob’s behavior has been, it’s been tolerated by our Democratic Party leadership,” she said."...

So you're going down the path of "it's ok if he committed a few crimes, his heart is in the right place and it was going to happen anyhow..." It's not ok for a politician to abuse his position by sexually harassing his staff and it's not ok for anyone to sexually assault or abuse children. As for lumping a bunch of people into a single container, if you read the original post you'll see it's focused on one person and the people that are enabling him. Clean your own house, when wrongdoing is discovered hold the responsible individuals accountable for what they did in accordance with the law. I don't care if we are talking about liberals, conservatives, or anyone in the middle, do what's right not what's politically popular and expedient.

And this does seem to be splitting the Dem party. Finestein says he needs to step down but the other senator from California, Boxer, has not commented.

When the senior statesman of the Democratic party is Bill Clinton, all the scumbags who've followed in his sleazy footsteps believe they can wiggle out of criticism like he did. If Obama decided to tap some WH resources, he would get a pass from his sheeple because like Clinton, he's "cool" , while Weiner and Filner are not.

Maybe the NYC Dems are seeing the light? Weiner is down to 4th place in the latest poll.
