While now 'sack lunch' is a preferred phrase I am sure it will be banned there in the future when gov. officials realize that it could be offensive to human bags of shit.
"Seattle bans words 'citizen' and 'brown bag'
Government employees in Seattle will have to watch their words more carefully from now on, after a new policy was implemented banning "citizen" and "brown bag" because they are "potentially offensive”. "
..."“To replace ‘brown bag’”, he continued, tackling the offensive phrase that employees use to describe their packed lunches, “we can go with ‘lunch-and-learn’ or ‘sack lunch’”."
I wonder if similar acts of outright stupidity happened just before the fall of the Roman Empire... What's next? No red skinned potatoes or white cheddar? How would one say "let's got have lunch at that great Mexican place" in PC words? "Let's go have lunch at that excellent Southern North American restaurant?" The names of various things have names that describe what they are so it's easy to understand what is being said. Enough, speak 'Merican and let those who choose to be offended be offended.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

If we are what we eat then I'm more of a whole wheat cracker...
