STOP & FRISK SMACKED DOWN Stop And Frisk Violated Rights Of New Yorkers, Judge Rules
A [federal] judge has ruled that the NYPD's controversial use of the stop-and-frisk tactic violated the rights of thousands of New Yorkers, The New York Times reports. Judge Shira Scheindlin's decision Monday called for a federal monitor to watch over the police department to ensure cops are in compliance with the constitution.
It sure would be nice if this was applied to TSA too...
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
And what do you know, none other than Mayor Bloomberg is promising to appeal the ruling. Seems he makes a habit out of infringing on the rights of others under the guise that doing so will make everyone "safer", be it Stop & Frisk, denying 2nd Amendment rights or limiting the container size of sugary drinks. Got to hand it to the man for being consistent though, don't you?

No fan of Bloomberg but stop and frisk is unamerican
now I hope that every single officer that ever did it has to face charges of violating constitutional rights...which I bet the swore to uphold and thus should loose their jobs and go do something fitting someone who does not respect rights.
This is good, we need to stop treating the average person like a criminal or anyone that is not a criminal for that matter, then we need to stop calling everything criminal and we will be on the right foot. .
