Can NOT speak to the white/non white issue, but it is extensively documented that attractive
people (gender does NOT matter) are viewed as more competent, are extended more privileges,
and in general have a definite edge over average/less attractive people.....NO surprise,it's been
that way for a very long time.....(for years, Psychology Today has published articles about this
topic).....tipping would follow the trend.
I gauge my tip on the PERSONAL service rendered and generously reward ANYONE who provides
good/excellent service to me.
On average, Blacks tip less than Whites in the United States. As a result, many servers
dislike waiting on black tables and deliver inferior service to those Blacks seated in their
sections. Furthermore, this race difference makes it difficult to attract and retain waitstaff
in predominately black neighborhoods, which makes such neighborhoods less
attractive places for corporations to locate full-service restaurants.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I worked my way through college as a waiter and bartender in many restaurants including The Fort. My tips were great when I was on my game and friendly, as I got sick of the job and got a bad attitude, my tips followed suit. The best waiter I ever worked with made great money and he looked like revived road kill. (bad acne and a massive beak)

I found in a past job in delivery service that I was tipped better in the lower class neighborhoods than in the upper class neighborhoods. Same product, same cost, same attitude, but I got consistantly better tips from those that made a lower wage. It seems they new what it was like to work for tips and appreciated the service more.
Some dozen years ago or so, we had a fav restaurant that we went to all the time BECAUSE
of the waitress (food was good/to average, but the SERVICE was so good it kept bringing us
back)......Her secret? I asked her one time.....She related that she pretended she was an
actor on stage and her "role" was wait person.....she knew our names (and everyone else's too)
what we usually ordered, how we like it prepared, always circling around her "table section" to
"tend" to her customers, sitting down to chat with each when she had a slow period....she
related that the tips for the year allowed her to pull down about $50,000 a year and that was
back in early 2000....EXCELLENT wait person.

Always nice when they know your name, but I could do without a server getting down to my level to chat or even to take my order. Just bugs me for some reason.
