related that the tips for the year allowed her to pull down about $50,000 a year and that was

Always nice when they know your name, but I could do without a server getting down to my level to chat or even to take my order. Just bugs me for some reason.
Oh, I don't know. Its kind of fun at Twin Peaks...

Well there are always exceptions :droolpuddle: (that means hungry)
But seriously, if an an attractive young lady gives me poor service, her looks won't make up for it. I tip poor service 15% and great service up to 25%.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Being as it's 2013 you can look but not touch. back in the 1980's in the bars around Subic bay... But I digress (besides this is a family show so I'm not gonna go there).
All of my experience in the Food Service industry has been in the kitchen, started out busing tables and washing dishes, worked my way up to food prep, and eventually running a broiler and grill. I always enjoyed cooking and still do, mostly because I like to eat, but I'm over the clean up part. From the back of the house perspective I can't begin to describe how disruptive it is to have wait staff that don't want to be there, get orders wrong, or argue with customers. I worked on the line in a kitchen at a country club as a teen and I remember a rotation of waiters and waitresses that were hired and fired in the same week because their lack of attention to detail would cause the kitchen to make an order over again and some times a third time.
The policy of the manager was if the order is wrong then the right order will be prepared and the entire meal was free (as a matter of principal not because the country club members couldn't afford it). When an order was returned to the kitchen the manager would parade the cooks out to the table along with the wait person that took the order and review the ticket that was submitted to the kitchen with the member that placed the order and then ensure that the wait person took down the exact details of the correct order and we would make it again. As a cook I was almost always able to show I prepared what was ordered but there were one or two instances where the member would order a steak mid well or well and I'd have to follow the standards of the Chef in charge of the kitchen. My experience bears out that there are people who order a $30 steak or $50 eye of round and want it cooked well but mean burn it in to cinders and bring it out to them on a plate.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
