I guess Reason magazine didn't get the memo: 'Stop and Frisk" is an NYPD thing, instituted at a local level...Not national, not even State ... But hey, when you can do one of the usual neo-fascist "Da Gub'mnt done this" rants, then who needs FACTS....

It is you who is telling lies VL. Social Security and Medicare are both part of the annual appropriation legislation passed by the national Congress as part of the annual federal budget. You may recall, or perhaps you never knew, that the reason the Supreme Court ruled that Social Security was constitutional to begin with was that the taxes used to fund it were annual income taxes on the workers and annual excise taxes on the employers and an annual appropriation of tax dollars by Congress. It should also be noted that the Supreme Court has already ruled that you do not have any right to any appropriations from Congress, meaning the federal government is not required to return the income taxes they took from you during your working years to provide the welfare subsidy each year to those who are eligible to receive the annual subsidies dispersed through Social Security and Medicare. Social Security and Medicare are annual individual welfare subsidies, just like SNAPS and other individual welfare subsidy programs operated by the federal government are. That's not opinion, it is the ruling of the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

We are talking about WALFARE and social security and Medicare are not WALFARE. They are two wildly popular programs that I paid into every week for 30 years, and they are never going away.
