Obama Disses Shelter Pets!

Once again our American president chooses a pure bred dog over a shelter pet. Can you imagine what it would do for adoptions if the Obama family went to a shelter one day and took home a loveable mutt?

Unless the loveable mutts at the shelter are completely hypo-allergenic, they had to go with a pure bred...one of their daughters has deadly allergies to dogs and there are only two breeds that she isn't allergic to...one of them being the Portugese Water Dog...the other (I think) is a Poodle.

Once again Fred chooses to attack the president without fully understanding why president made the decision he did. Hey Fred....is it more important that the President cater to your sensibilities or protect the health of his daughter?

Health issues or not, who gives a rat's patoot where he gets his pets? Pet, shmet. I'm more concerned on where he gets his ideas of governance.

There are hypo-allergenic dogs available at shelters and rescues.

Oh fer Petes sake, there are purebreds at rescues and shelters. The only thing I saw was the dog came from the Upper Great Lakes. You don't know where this dog came from.

Can you imagine what it would do for adoptions if people were responsible pet owners, spayed and neutered their mutts, and/or promoted good breeding?

I dont know for sure, but I will bet that Bo and Sunny have been spayed and neutered. They wont be adding to the shelter populations.
