1/3 of Lousiana Republicans blame Obama for Katrina response

A little more than one-quarter of Louisianians approve of Gov. Bobby Jindal's job performance, a new low, according to numbers released by Public Policy Polling on Wednesday. A related poll showed Louisianians aren't sure whether President Barack Obama or George W. Bush was responsible for the federal government's "poor" response when levees broke after Hurricane Katrina.

In answer to the question, "Who do you think was more responsible for the poor response to Hurricane Katrina: George W. Bush or Barack Obama?," 29 percent of a pool of Republican primary voters in Louisiana blamed Obama, who took office in 2009, and 28 percent blamed Bush, whose term lasted through 2008. Hurricane Katrina hit on Aug. 29, 2005.

This shows the extent of brainwashing Republicans have undergone regarding President Obama. I'm waiting for the next poll where 1/3 blame him for Watergate, starting the EPA and World War II.

Well, Nawlins still looks like crap five years after Obama was elected so it does look like he fell down on rebuilding the place. Those shovel ready projects just didn't happen.

Not moving the goal posts. Talking about the response after the hurricane is undefined. Today is after the hurricane. Maybe the Republicans feel Obama has ignored them because little has been done since he has been President. Probably in an attempt to make Jindal, a Republican, look bad.
Jindal doesn't suck up to him like Christie does.

What's your excuse for the 44% of Louisiana Republicans who didn't know who was to blame?

Maybe they think was Nagin's fault for diverting the money in the first place?

Wrong answer. They don't know who is at fault. That should have been your first clue.

Or maybe they didn't agree with the original press judgement that FEMA took too long to react. Funny how New Orleans got all the press when Mississippi also suffered gravely.

Notice how Obama isn't taking a lot of blame for how slow the repairs from Superstorm Sandy are going.
