TSA seeks 3.4 million rounds of ammo

Why does the Department of Homeland Security need more ammunition per capita than the United States Army simply for “training” purposes, and why does a largely unarmed TSA need millions of rounds of ammunition?

Obama’s DHS has long been stockpiling weapons and ammunition - including hollow-points - for what purpose? Remember, Homeland Security is placing these orders not the Department of Defense!

Is Obama’s “civilian military” being assembled under our noses – the one he hinted at during his 2008 campaign when he said,

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Nothing new... this sort of firepower has been in the hands of national gendarmerie in many countries... once again... Americans need to get out more... you find these sort of forces all over Europe... in public... on the streets... with military grade weapons.

A gendarmerie or gendarmery (/dʒɛnˈdɑrməri/ or /ʒɑːnˈdɑrməri/) is in principle a military[1] force charged with police duties among civilian populations. Members of such a force are typically called "gendarmes". These units are also associated with other descriptions, such as maréchaussée (marshalry) or Guard or Constabulary. The Shorter Oxford English Dictionary describes gendarme as "a soldier who is employed on police duties" and a "gendarmery, -erie" as "gendarmes as a body".

There is a tradition in America of not using the military to suppress civil unrest. But what if you do like Hitler did and come up with alternative armies?
It is one thing if Sheriff Fred buys some AR's for the patrol cars but when even the FDA is now arming their inspectors, you have to think something is up.

A tradition based on the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878.
