Looks to me like Sen. Morse voted the wishes of the MAJORITY of voters in his district. The 8% of gun wackos that want to do a recall are free to do so...But they are NOT "the majority."
The same poll also asked Colorado voters about specific gun law proposals[/url] and the margin of support was wide for nearly all the measures in question, according to PNA/Chris Keating:
95 percent of voters agree that people with "serious mental health problems" should be prevented from owning a gun.
80 percent of voters agree that judges should be able to order someone who is "convicted of domestic violence or given a restraining order" to surrender their guns to the court.
80 percent of voters agree that all private gun sales should go through a licensed dealer and be subject to a background check.
65 percent of voters agree that guns should be banned on college and university campuses.
61 percent of voters agree that the sale and possession of semi-automatic guns and assault rifles should be banned.
61 percent of voters agree that the sale and possession of high-capacity ammunition clips, which allow some guns to shoot more than 10 bullets before reloading, should be banned.
Sux, don't it? I truly don't give a flip what 8% of the wackos want. I should send a note to Bloomberg thanking him for his support.

NRA Donates More Than $350,000 To Colorado Recall Effort Of Democrats Who Supported Gun Laws
Two Colorado state senators facing a historic recall election next week are now also going against a ramped up financial contribution from the National Rifle Association.
A campaign finance report released Tuesday shows the NRA has increased their support of the recall efforts of Senate President John Morse of Colorado Springs and state Sen. Angela Giron of Pueblo by an additional $250,000. The Fairfax, Va.-based gun rights group had already spent more than $100,000 in an effort to defeat the lawmakers bringing the NRA's total contribution to over $361,700.
"It was a grassroots effort for a little while, but when that didn't take at all, it was clear they were getting money from outside. And I wasn't the least bit surprised the NRA was behind it," Senate President Morse told CNN shortly after the legislative session ended.
Democrats are out-voting Republicans in the recall election of state Sen. Angela Giron, D-Pueblo, by nearly a 3-to-1 margin, according to voter tallies after the first three days of early voting.
Pueblo County Clerk Gilbert “Bo” Ortiz said that 2,690 voters had cast ballots in the Sept. 10 special election as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.
At that time, 1,668 Democrats had voted in the special election compared with 599 Republicans. The remaining 423 votes came from independents and minor party voters
